The 2.8L inline-six is based on the contemporary M30 inline-six, and was rebuilt at 110k km with OEM Alpina pistons, a balanced rotating assembly, and a cylinder head overhaul. The 5-speed manual transmission received a new second gear synchronizer and clutch at the same time. The car retains European-market bumpers as well as yellow high beams and chrome door mirrors. Alpina wheels feature exposed lugs and valve stems and are fitted with Yokohama S.drive tires measuring 205/50-15 front and rear. The leather-rimmed MOMO steering wheel features blue stitching and an Alpina script on the upper right spoke. Additional touches include VDO auxiliary gauges mounted in the center stack. Approximately 118k kilometers (~73k miles) are shown on the 6-digit odometer.
